The Exercise Wheel

 We have some exercise wheels now and they will be ready to ship within a week, once payment is received.

      Bill first decided to build an exercise wheel for our cats after visiting Jean Mill in Covina, CA.   Growing up on a ranch helped us to find the wheels that we use for our exercise wheels.   The first wheel he built was for our cats and they love it.   We have since built wheel for other people and if you are interested in getting a wheel we can build one for you. 

    The wheel itself stands approximately 56" tall from the ground up.   We use a wheel that is 4 feet in diameter and place a steel mesh back in them.  This is to keep the cats from possibly getting caught in one of the spokes.   The rubber tread on the wheel is  a full 7 inches wide running tread and also gives the cats some traction.   The wheels can be used inside or outside.  The wheels have a mesh backing on them to prevent the cats from  getting hurt by a moving spoke.  The wheel can be easily cleaned off with a hose and water. 

 Matrix is a 17 pound cat and just a little bit over a year old.  He enjoys running on our wheel.

      We usually make the cat wheels in our spare time.  My husband drives a semi and sometimes he is not able to work on the wheels constantly.  I help as much as I can but I do not weld as good as he does.   Shipping for these wheels is available, and is subject to change as the fuel prices fluctuate.   Otherwise we will have to ship them through LTL freight because of the  total dimensions.  Or if we are going to be going to a show nearby we will be happy to bring one along.  

    The wheels themselves cost $500.00 and we usually paint them in black.  If you would like them to be a specific color ($10 more) then we will try to paint your wheel in the color you would like.  We ask that you place a deposit of $100.00 down for you wheel and then we will make one for you. 

     We have found that our cats like to spray on their wheel.  Since it is made with materials that will last a long time, cleaning the wheel is very easy.  You can either wash it off with a hose, or a pressure washer, or use  a little peroxide and wipe off with a paper towel.  The material used in our wheels will NOT hold any smells or cat urine, etc..  The wheels are very easy to clean and it helps to keep your home or cattery building, a much nicer smell.
